Biography
Le Payaco is a Slovak music band from Bratislava, which was formed in the spring of 1996. During their career they recorded five studio albums, one EP and four singles sung in English.
The band interrupted their activities for five years in 2006, when individual members embarked on solo artistic tracks, which they have continued to this day (Tomáš Sloboda - Sounds Like This, Martin Stempel - Diego and Juraj Vitéz - Datasystem).
They were reunited by Michal Kaščák, who in 2011 invited them to play as one of the headliners for the Pohodafestival. The band resumed its concert and studio activities in 2012. After resuming their collaboration, they recorded and released a KONE single on 7" vinyl and a selection album made by" Jukebox "itself . The album Dnes je ten deň was finally released in June 2015 on a CD and in April 2016 on vinyl in a limited 300 piece as part of a worldwide event celebrating the Record Stores with Record Store Day 2016 (RSD).
Le Payaco's work is characterized by diversity, levity and humor. Their songs contain elements of pop, rock, swing, but also alternative and psychedelic rock, folk, blues, or electropunk.
In early 2019, Le Payaco announced the preparation of a new material to be released on their sixth album.
The new Le Payaco album is about to be released on April 16, 2020 under the title "POHYBLIVÍ V NEHYBNOM"
